After the H670 Steel Legend aSRock, we stay in the field of motherboards, but this time, we attack an ultra affordable segment. Indeed, the Prime H610M-E D4, Asus attacks the $110 segment!
Prime H610M-E D4: a low cost model!
With this board, Asus offers us a motherboard that goes towards simplicity. The goal is to have a component that allows you to assemble a machine at the lowest price and that’s it. Moreover, this can be seen in the visuals where only the H610 chipset benefits from a heatsink. Otherwise, the power supply stages are left bare.
What to say about this reference… ? First of all, it is a micro-ATX card with two DDR4 memory slots. At the maximum, it can therefore carry up to 64 GB of RAM clocked at 3200 MHz.
For the graphics card, there is a first slot in x16 at the 4.0 standard and a second in x1 at the 3.0 standard. The storage part benefits from four SATA III at 6 Gb/s and two M.2, one in PCIe 3.0 x4, the other in PCIe 3.0 x4. So be careful when buying your SSD.
At the back, the connectivity is very basic with the presence of two PS2 connectors for the keyboard and mouse. Likewise, we have the right to a VGA, an HDMI and a DisplayPort. In USB, we remain quite light: 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 and 2x USB 2.0. Finally, the Ethernet is managed by a Realtek chip in 1Gb and the audio by Realtek 7.1, but we will not know more.
As for the price, we told you: $110, a strategic area for those who want to assemble a machine at a lower cost. Besides, you don’t have to be too demanding, here, we go to the essential!
