Ryzen 8000G: first price estimates!
Yes, we’re talking about estimates here, even if the leaker is basing himself on price leaks from e-commerce. In this kind of situation, as long as AMD hasn’t officially announced sales prices, the prices posted by resellers are only ” placeholders” and can’t be taken seriously.
In any case, if we are to believe what is being said, we would find a :
- Ryzen 7 8700G between $340 and $440
- Ryzen 5 8600G between $240 and $310
- Ryzen 5 8500G between $190 and $240
As a reminder, the 8700G is the largest model in the series. As with the other two, it would benefit from a monolithic die , whereas the other CPUs are multi-die. We’re talking here about a CPU equipped with eight Zen4 cores housed in a Phoenix1 chip. As for the graphics section, this will benefit from 768 RDNA3 stream processors.
As for the 8600G, once again we find an APU featuring a Pheonix1 chip. The latter is now equipped with 6 cores and 12 threads. The graphics section has been scaled down to 512 stream processors.
Finally, we come to the 8500G, the smallest of the three models, this time based on a Pheonix2 chip. The latter features a hybrid core configuration. Two of the cores are Zen4, while the other four are Zen4C, so-called “efficient” versions optimized for low power consumption. Last but not least, the graphics section takes a beating with its 3 compute units and 256 stream processors.
