Oh, oh, someone at PowerColor has made a blunder, as the full RX 7800 XT datasheet has leaked. The brand then reveals the design of its Red Devil version, as well as its specification sheet. This confirms quite a few things!

The card’s datasheet is self-explanatory, displaying everything you need to know about this model. We know that the GPU features 3840 stream processors, and that 16 GB of VRAM is available on a 256-bit bus. We also know that the memory spins at 18 Gbps compared with 2565 MHz for the GPU boost.

Looking at the data sheet, the GPU shares a similar configuration to that of the non-XT RX 6800. Even the memory characteristics are very similar, except for the VRAM speed, which is faster.

PowerColor RX 7900 GRE Red Devil

As for the design of PowerColor’s board, we expect it to be very similar to the 7900 GRE Red Devil from the same manufacturer. The heatsink features three 100 mm fans. The heatsink features eight 6 mm copper heat pipes, while the PCB features 11 3 1 2 1 power supply phases.

As a reminder, the board is expected to see the light of day during GamesCom. As for specs, performance is expected to be up on the RX 6800, but down on the 7900 GRE. It remains to be seen what the retail price will be, but we’re a little disappointed. Clearly, between this 7800 XT and the 7900 XT, there’s room for a second card, such as a non-XT RX 7900.
