While the announcement of the new RTX Super is expected in the next few hours during CES 2024, Nvidia has simply announced the color on social networks for those who still had doubts about this launch. For the record, the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER will be unveiled at an official Nvidia conference in the early hours of CES. Although these three GPUs will be announced next week, they won’t hit the market until mid-January, according to a precise timetable we’ve already mentioned here.
RTX 4070 Super is the most eagerly awaited reference
The RTX 4070 Super is particularly eagerly awaited. If all the leaks are to be believed, it will arrive with a chip featuring 7,168 CUDA cores . This is clearly a significant leap from the “old” version with its original 5,888 CUDA cores. The improvement should come despite a memory configuration that will remain identical to the current 4070 (12 GB GDDR6X) on a 192-bit bus. The new card is scheduled for market launch on January 17.
Given the significant modification of the GPU used by the future 4070 Super, this board should be the only one of the 3 newcomers to have a higher TDP than the version currently available. For the moment, we don’t know whether Nvidia will be content with this “update” for the whole of 2024, or whether it will anticipate the launch of its next generation at the end of the year. The conference could shed some light on the subject.
