Another news item from Phanteks, a brand with some interesting new products for the end of the year. After a box that looks convincing, the brand is now introducing a new way of connecting devices. The company is unveiling its NexLinq connection system, which promises to connect all compatible devices using a single cable. A sort of iCUE Link in Phanteks sauce!
NexLinq, the iCUE Link Phanteks-style !
When someone promises to connect and control everything with a single connector, the first thing that springs to mind is Corsair’s system. At the same time, the Phanteks ecosystem is based on the same principle, promising to connect all compatible devices with a single connector. What’s more, we’ll be able to control each element individually in the loop while recognising each product, from the fan to the watercooling pump, as well as managing the RGB lighting in each room.
Behind the scenes, management is entrusted to a utility that enables advanced management of fan speed and the colour of the aRGB LEDs. Better still, the controller (essential in the loop) will handle this proprietary system, as well as more conventional PWM elements, and the same goes for aRGB lighting devices via more conventional connectors!
A new AIO:
Of course, to inaugurate this new ecosystem, Phanteks is announcing a new all-in-one watercooling kit with its Glacier One 360M25. The latter is therefore compatible with this ecosystem. It features a trio of M250 Gen 2 fans running at up to 2,500 rpm (72.72 CFM – 2.51 mmH2O). The pump, which will run at up to 3100 rpm, also has a small fan to cool the components placed around the socket. The socket will be protected by a small, very stylish mesh grille.
New fans :
Finally, there’s the announcement of new fans. To make up an already interesting loop, we’ll be getting M25 G2 mills in 120 mm, 140 mm with normal and inverted blades, all available in black or white. Of course, double and triple packs are also available with and without aRGB lighting. In short, a pretty comprehensive range.
Affordable prices, really!
However, what really stood out for us was the selling price of the components, which is truly affordable, especially when compared with the competition. A NexLinq controller costs €24.90. Fans, meanwhile, cost between €5.90 and €10.90 each, depending on whether you choose a fan with or without lighting. Packages cost between €15.90 and €29.90, while the AIO Glacier One 360M25 G2 is advertised at €99.90! In short, unbeatable for a promise similar to that of the competition. It remains to be seen whether it will live up to its promise!
