New ElmorLabs Volcano LN2 Container

A few days ago, we told you about the feat achieved by the Asus ROG team who managed to pass the 9 GHz mark with a copy of the i9-13900K processor. This performance was obtained thanks to a ROG Maximus Z790 APEX motherboard but also thanks to the new Volcano LN2 container from the online store ElmorLabs. This is a store we have already talked about since we regularly make purchases there.

This new bucket is cylindrical in shape and was designed by the overclocker ShaggySVK. The copper base has a complex design made with a milling machine. The principle is to offer the maximum contact surface with the liquid nitrogen and optimizing the transfer of cold to the base of the bucket. The rest of the envelope, i.e. the upper part, is made of black aluminum.

In order to hold this bucket in place on your processor, you will need the mounting frame as well as the back plate. As you can see, this bucket is compatible with all current sockets. The good news comes from the advertised price of $250, which is far from exaggerated and the first shipments are scheduled for January 5, 2023. We look forward to reading an independent review of this new LN2 Volcano bucket from ElmorLabs.
