MSI offers us a new screen with its Optix G2712. It is a monitor clearly oriented eSports with a rather “low” resolution, but a good responsiveness. The goal is to display a maximum of FPS.

Optix G2712: a 1080p IPS screen in 170 Hz!

This new screen signed MSI offers a 27″ IPS displaying a full HD resolution in 1920×1080. Moreover, it offers a refresh rate of 170 Hz with a low latency of 1 ms. Besides that, the slab remains quite basic since it is flat.

The display offers a brightness of 250 cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 1100:1. With this, we can count on a coverage of sRGB, DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color ranges of 101.91%, 81.1% and 85.67% respectively. The horizontal and vertical viewing angles are also 178°.

We finish with the foot that allows adjustment in all directions and connectivity. The latter highlights a DisplayPort 1.2a to enjoy the 170 Hz and two HDMI 1.4b limited to 120 Hz.
