Here are some more details about the future Nvidia RTX 4070 which should arrive in 3 to 4 months on the market. As for the 4070Ti, the RTX 4070 will be based on the AD104 GPU. According to Kopite7Kimi the exact version of the GPU will be the AD104-250-A1. This GPU will actually be exactly the same as the one used for the RTX 4070 Ti, but only 5888 CUDA cores will be enabled on 46 SM. The card will have the same VRAM configuration as the 4070 Ti with 12GB of GDDR6X memory at 21Gbps on the same bus width (192 bits).

Always very reliable in its infomrations, KopiteKimi gives us new details on the Nvidia rtx 4070

This will be the first card from NVIDIA that will have a default TGP of 250W. Speculations suggest a performance difference of 20-25% with the 4070Ti, which seems like a lot. It’s too early to tell at this point. The major issue of this card will be its price positioning as we mentioned at the beginning. But for the moment, Nvidia is trapped in its general pricing on the RTX 40. With a 4070Ti that could be announced between $850 and $899, it is difficult to imagine an RTX 4070 series with prices under $600

If the release schedule for this card is confirmed for early spring, Nvidia will also have to deal with the more aggressive variants of AMD’s RDNA3. Without prejudging the performance of this future RTX 4070 and a possible massive drop in team green prices, we still have the impression that Nvidia is in tricky situation in this story. In the next few days, the analysis of the performance of AMD’s RX 7900s will undoubtedly shed some light on what will happen in 2023…
