Minisforum announces the Ryzen 7 7840HS-powered HX100G

MinisForum announces its new HX100G mini-machine. This new PC features a Ryzen 7 CPU with 8 cores, all in the brand’s customary small footprint!

MinisForum HX100GAs always, the brand’s aim is to offer very compact machines, as you can see. While dimensions are not specified, we do know that the PC benefits from a Ryzen 7 7840HS-based configuration. Broadly speaking, it’s a CPU codenamed Phoenix, with a total of 8 cores and 16 threads. It boasts a boost frequency of 5.1 GHz and a TDP of just 35W.

Otherwise, this CPU, although equipped with an iGPU (RADEON 780M), is supported by an RX 6650M. The graphics section is based on a Navi 23 GPU with 28 compute units, i.e. 1792 stream processors. As for memory, 8 GB of VRAM on a 128-bit bus (224 GB/s bandwidth).

The machine benefits from an air-cooling system. It’s based on an aluminum fin structure crossed by a total of seven copper heat pipes and topped by two fans. To ensure optimum heat transfer, liquid metal is used as the TIM.

Finally, there’s storage, via two M.2 slots. As for memory, two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots are provided.

In terms of price, the basic barebone configuration (without RAM or storage) costs $719. With a 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM, the price rises to $905, then $995 with 64GB RAM and 1TB SSD.
