While NVIDIA clearly dominates AMD in terms of market share, there is one shop that is still holding out: MindFactory. What’s more, the German merchant is very transparent, clearly displaying its sales figures from which we can derive a few stats. TechEpiphany does this very well on X, where it keeps the books on a weekly basis.
Last week was Black Friday, so we’re going to be able to find out who sold the most GPUs, AMD or NVIDIA, during this week 48, which was full of promotions… Well, at this one-stop shop at least, which only represents its own sales. In fact, the shop does not represent the market as a whole, since NVIDA alone accounts for 88% of market share.
Black Friday: 2,250 AMD cards sold at MindFactory, worth €1.7 million!
According to figures compiled by TechEpiphany, during week 48, the merchant sold a total of 2,250 AMD cards (53%) compared to 1,985 cards from NVIDIA (46.76%). In terms of value, AMD generated total sales of €1,178,586 (48.65%) compared with €1,241,773 (51.26%) for NVIDIA.
However, if we add up all the percentages, we don’t arrive at 100%, which is normal since Intel, which also offers dedicated graphics cards, is missing. However, since the launch of Alchemist, sales figures have slowed down: 10 sales or 0.24% market share for a total of €2,236 generated (0.09%).
Finally, it’s interesting to look at the average value per card sold. While AMD sold more GPUs than NVIDIA, their overall value was lower, averaging €524 compared with €626 for the Chameleon and €224 for Intel. However, this is to be expected, since the most expensive model of the blue series listed by the German shop is none other than ASRock’s Arc A770 Phantom Gaming, which is priced at around €332.
Finally, the best-selling card is none other than the RX 7800 XT with 660 units, followed by the RX 7900 XT with 450 units… And to think that when the RX 7900 was launched, the XT was shunned because of its unfavourable price positioning compared to the XTX. In third place, we find the RTX 4070 Super with 430 units sold, followed by the non-Super RTX 4070 (380 units) and the RTX 4080 Super (350 units).
