MSI announces a new screen with its MAG342CQPV, a new 21:9 monitor with a UWQHD resolution. Despite a VA panel, the characteristics remain quite classic as you will see.
MAG342CQPV: a UWQHD monitor with VA panel in 100 Hz!
With this new reference, the brand with the dragon announces a 21:9 monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 1440. All this is done via a 34″ VA anti-reflective panel curved at 1500R. Otherwise, despite a latency of 1 ms, the refresh rate is 100 Hz.
The rest of the characteristics is quite classic with a brightness of 250 nits and a contrast ratio quite consistent 3000:1. Otherwise, we find a coverage of 86% of the color range DCI-P3 and 115% of sRGB. The screen will display 1.07 billion colors (8 bits + FRC).
Finally, as for the connectivity, it is classic with a DisplayPort 1.2a and two HDMI (1.4b and 2.0b). We end this tour of the connectivity with a single audio jack, but no USB HUB.
To finish, no price is announced, nevertheless, considering the technical sheet, the bill should not climb very high for this type of screen. With a wet finger, we will lean for a price of about 400 €.
