Strange as it may seem, Lenovo offers custom graphics card designs. These are often sober and simplistic. They usually involve a large heatsink and a smooth shell. With the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5070, the company is making no exception to this rule. However, don’t expect to find them in retail outlets, no, these cards are only intended for the brand’s pre-assembled PCs.
Lenovo unveils its custom RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 Ti!
In broad terms, with these new models, the company is opting for a meticulous construction. The shell of the cards is made from CNC-machined aluminium, as is the backplate. Here we find heatsinks equipped with two fans of varying lengths, depending on whether we’re talking about an RTX 5060 Ti or an RTX 5070. As for the thickness, we find a model with just over two slots, while aRGB lighting is present on the edge of the 5070.
Of course, this is OEM hardware and no factory overclocking is applied. Expect ‘stock’ frequencies. What’s more, the RTX 5060 Ti that has been announced is an 8GB version, so there’s no 16GB model here.
In short, these new cards will be available in Legion 7000K and GeekPro PCs. We’re talking about PCs priced at 11999 yuan (~$1660) for the 7000K, compared with 7199 yuan (~1000) for the GeekPro.
If you’re actively looking for these cards, the only way to get hold of one would be to buy a PC and remove the card, or to search directly on eBay in the hope of finding a seller. In any case, it’s understandable that the brand doesn’t want to enter this sector, which is already well saturated by NVIDIA’s various partners.
