On the Intel side, we have new information regarding potential new graphics cards based on the BMG-G31 GPU. As a reminder, this is the GPU that is expected to power the hypothetical Arc Pro B70 and Arc Pro B65 Pro from Intel. This time, the GPU appears in a change log published by Intel on GitHub.

B70: bigger pro GPUs coming soon from Intel!

Intel Arc Pro B70

Broadly speaking, the change log confirms that “G31 validation has been added” and that “all models are supported.” Broadly speaking, this confirms that the company is continuing to work on its BMG-G31 GPU. Roughly speaking, this is a GPU that we should see in the hypothetical Arc B70 Pro and Arc B65 Pro, which are larger and better equipped with memory than the current Arc B60 Pro, the largest professional card from the blue team.

In terms of specifications (which we discussed here), this GPU could feature up to 4096 shaders and 32 GB of memory based on a 256-bit memory bus in the case of the Pro B70. As for the Pro B65, we would be dealing with a GPU with a more modest configuration: 2560 shaders, but still the same amount of memory: 32 GB of GDDR6 in 256 bits. Of course, the goal would be to offer cards for the AI and professional sectors.

However, there are still expectations that the chip will be released for the consumer sector. However, the timing is a problem, since the launch of the Arc B580 and Arc B570 was over a year ago, and offering a B770 now would ultimately be rather irrelevant… But we could be wrong.

In any case, Intel has a knack for offering professional GPUs with large memory capacity at low prices. That’s what makes its little Arc B50 Pro so successful.
