Intel Arrow Lake-S: October 24 launch?

0

While it was announced that the next Intel Core Ultra 200 aka Arrow Lake-S desktop processors would arrive in early October, the launch has now been rescheduled for the 24th of October. Just a few days ago, the latest information suggested an announcement around the 6th of October, with a commercial launch on 17/10/2024. So we have another week to wait. At the same time, Intel’s motherboard partners are also having to postpone the launch of their boards.

Arrow Lake Arrow Lake-S Octobre

Arrow Lake-S (a little) delayed?

We know that some official distributors have already received official information about the processors’ release (and their prices). This explains the latest price leaks, which have their source in the electronic flows exchanged between wholesalers and Intel. The first wave of Arrow Lake-S processors will consist solely of ‘performance’ versions, i.e. the K and KS versions. The same will apply to motherboards, since only the Z890 chipset should be on retailers’ shelves by the end of 2024. To see or buy the non-K versions and motherboards equipped with the B860 and H810 chipsets, we’ll probably have to wait until at least CES 2025 (early January).

It’s important to bear in mind that all the dates and information on the versions to be launched are not official data from Intel. For the moment, Intel has been extremely stingy with information about the processors to succeed the 13th and 14th generations… Two generations that will leave their mark on passionate users who swear by Intel.

As we have reiterated in several previous news briefs, Arrow Lake-S will not feature Hyperthreading, and the K versions will undoubtedly be backed up by KF versions at launch.
