Clearly, this CES is eagerly awaited by the hardware community, particularly for the announcement of the future RTX 50s. However, while the cards have yet to be announced, one Inno3D model is already in the wild: the RTX 5090 iChill X3. VideoCardz has spotted the card’s design and shares it with us.
RTX 5090 iChill x3: leaked card design!
Clearly, the design of this new generation has changed completely compared to the previous generation. Here, the design is more sober, with less RGB lighting, limited to two fine lines instead of entire illuminated areas of the fairing. The same applies to the colours, with silver-grey areas and metal elements screwed to the body.
However, this new model is thicker, with the card now exceeding three slots: 3.5 slots to be precise. As a reminder, the RTX 4090 iChill x3 was a model that occupied three slots. On the other hand, this cooling system is responsible for cooling a substantial GPU, which could reach a TDP of 600W according to some rumours… Although more recent estimates put it at 575W.
Of course, the RTX 5090 will be NVIDIA’s new monster. As a reminder, the card will feature a GB202 GPU, which will contain 170 SM, or 21,760 cuda cores. Memory-wise, we’ll be treated to a massive amount of VRAM: 32 GB in GDDR7, all with a 512-bit bus. Clearly, bandwidth will be important with its 1.79 TB/s.
As far as the interface is concerned, this generation of NVIDIA cards could well be the first to popularise PCIe 5.0. It’s worth remembering, however, that the Chinese were the first to offer GPUs using this standard with the Moore Threads series of cards, so let’s give credit where credit is due. Finally, in terms of power supply, a 12V-2×6 will be required.
