GTA VI, nothing said about the PC… Not yet

GTA VI is potentially the most eagerly awaited game of recent years. And after long years of nothing but misinformation and untruths, we’re finally getting somewhere with this game. Indeed, after the launch of the trailer, hastily put together following a leak, the publisher has officially announced its title… However, while the announcement mentions console platforms, nothing is said about PC… Rockstar, you’re not going to pull that stunt again, are you?

GTA VI: will we have to wait for the PC version?

Take-Two Interactive’s press release reads:

“Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. […], is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto VIiscoming to PlayStation® 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X|S games and entertainment systems in 2025.”

The tone is already set. Clearly, we know that the game will be released on Sony and Microsoft consoles, but there’s no mention of the PC version. In fact, if you search for ” PC ” on the press release page, it only appears once in the publisher’s About section.

From there, we can immediately see a GTA V/Red Dead Redemption 2 scenario taking shape. Namely, that the game will be released first on consoles and then on PC. It remains to be seen how long this will take. In the case of GTA V, originally released in 2013 on consoles, it took over a year to port it to PC… The same goes for Read Dead Redemption II.

Now, that’s something to keep an eye on, but every time a new game is launched, it starts to get seriously tiresome.
