First benchmark for a Ryzen 5 7600X

0

The first results of a synthetic test performed on an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X have just been leaked. Of course we have to be careful because this CPU is only an engineering sample (ES) and some specifications (like frequency) may still change. Under Basemark the CPU is recognized as a 6-core, 12-threaded processor. The test report also reveals that it is used with a motherboard Gigabyte X670E AORUS Master equipped with 32 GB of DDR5 memory. This example of the Ryzen 5 7600X had a maximum frequency of 4.40 GHz ( its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 5600X, reached 4.60 GHz). If we believe the readings, it still has to outperform the 5950X in the same benchmark.

Ryzen 5 7600X: first benchmark

Lots of “samples” on this test machine no?

We will add to the caution mentioned above a few drawbacks, especially with regard to the benchmark used. The use of PowerBoard 3.0 (a GPU oriented benchmark) puts the result into perspective, especially if you are only looking for an indication of the CPU. Even if we expect an improvement of the performances with the Zen4 architecture, it is difficult to make a precise idea knowing that the 7600X in its final version should flirt with the 5,00 GHz according to several rumours.

Ryzen 5 7600X However, we could quickly have more precise information since it seems that the Ryzen 7000 will be officialized at the end of August. As a reminder, we expect a launch “from the top” with the arrival of Ryzen 9 7950X (16 cores), Ryzen 9 7900X (12 cores), Ryzen 7 7800X (8 cores) and this Ryzen 5 7600X (6 cores).
