Presented at Computex the Dark Base Pro 901 from be quiet! has now been announced. This time, we’ve got all the details, from dimensions to capacity!
Dark Base Pro 901: a big case from be quiet!
With this case, the German brand announces an imposing model measuring 275 (W) x 604 (D) x 539 (H) mm. The weight is also significant, as this model weighs in at 16.3 kg – yes, that’s heavy stuff!
However, these large dimensions enable it to accommodate all types of configuration. In fact, it supports E-ATX, XL-ATX, ATX, µATX and mini-ITX motherboards. As for graphics cards, a maximum of 495 mm is available, without HDD cage, with which compatibility drops to 350 mm. Finally, 190 mm are available for a CPU cooling unit.
Nevertheless, this is a watercooling-friendly case, since we can fit a 420 mm radiator at the front without breaking a sweat. At the top, a 360 mm model will suffice, and the same applies to the motherboard tray.
The basic ventilation system features a total of three 140 mm SilentWings 4 fans. However, if required, 3×120/140 mm fans can be fitted at the top and on the front. There are three 120 mm slots on the side and bottom of the case. Finally, on the rear, we have a 120/140 mm slot.
Otherwise, we find some very nice features such as the usual interchangeable front and top panels. Likewise, the motherboard tray can be mounted in reverse, while fans can be connected directly to the mounting plates. Of course, the control panel also features a rehobus and lighting management system. Last but not least, we’d like to highlight the presence of a wireless 15W charging system, and a graphics card support that doubles as a cable cover.
Prices will not be cheap, as the case is priced at €319.90, with availability set for June 27. Accessories include a PCIe 4.0 riser at €59.90 and HDD/SSD baskets at €9.90!
