Gigabyte was also working on a component series called Stealth. Like ASUS’s BTF and MSI’s Project Zero series, the Stealth series migrated motherboard components to the back of the PCB. The objective is simple: 0 visible cables during assembly. This series is back in the news at Computex, with a B650 Aorus Stealth on display. Once again, our thanks to TechpowerUp for the photos.
B650 Aorus Stealth Ice: a motherboard with rear connector from Gigabyte!
With this board, Gigabyte presents us with a reference featuring an AM5 socket, all coupled with a B650 chipset. The overall design of the board is extremely sober, with clean lines. In fact, there’s a large empty space for the Aorus logo under the only PCIe slot available on this model.
Of course, connectivity is also present on the back of the card. It features the classic 8-pin power ports for the CPU and 24 pins for the motherboard. The storage section is not clearly visible, but we can make out at least four SATA ports. Various USB-C headers are also present.
To mount this type of card, you need a suitable chassis like the Corsair 2500X or 6500D Airflow we tested.
It remains to be seen when this card will be commercially available, and at what price.
