New motherboard from Chinese manufacturer Colorful: the CVN B760i Frozen WiFi D5. A new mini-ITX motherboard for Intel processors. What’s more, this reference will accept DDR5 memory.
CVN B760i Frozen WiFi D5: DDR5 in ITX from Colorful!
With this new card, Colorful offers us a reference in mini-ITX format. Featuring an LGA-1700 socket and a B760 chipset , it’s a reference that can accommodate 14th-generation Intel processors (tested here) without a hitch.
In ITX format, there are just two memory slots, but in DDR5. They can accommodate up to 96 GB of RAM, all clocked at 7600 MT/s. Connectivity is limited to a single PCIe x16 5.0. On the storage side, we can count on two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2s coupled with four SATA IIIs.
To power the processor, 7 1 1-phase power supplies with 90A Dr.MOS mosfets are used.
At the rear, an Ethernet section driven by a Realtek RTL8125 chip and a Wi-Fi section complete the picture. As far as audio is concerned, no indication is given, except that 7.1 is supported.
The price is not yet known, but we do know that availability is set for this fourth quarter.
