BX-10B-OP: a new compact µATX package for Chieftec!

Chieftec announces its new BX-10B-OP case, a new model that hosts µATX motherboards. Moreover, it plays the card of compactness considering its internal layout. An alternative to the Jonsbo D30 ?

BX-10B-OP: a compact case for Chieftec!

Chieftec BX-10B-OPWith its new case, the brand announces a model with a rather sober and pure design. The case has a front with a few vertical lines and that’s about it.

Regarding the dimensions, we find something compact with 204 (W) x 415 (D) x 325 (H) mm. The weight is 4.78 kg, rather light, therefore, very practical for the assembly or possible displacements.

Internally, we can install a mini-ITX or µATX motherboard. For the rest of the components, we have 165 mm free for a CPU fan. The graphics card will be able to measure up to 380 mm, but beware of the depth of the power supply. If the latter measures more than 180 mm, the CG cannot exceed 300 mm. Indeed, the power supply, like the Jonsbo D30 the power supply, like the power supply unit, is installed in the front and vertically.

The storage part can include up to four 2.5″ storage units. Otherwise, it will be possible to install a 3.5″ hard disk and three 2.5″ SSDs.

Chieftec BX-10B-OP The ventilation remains rather limited with two 120/140 mm slots in the top. At the bottom, up to three 120mm fans or two 140mm fans can be mounted… Provided you have a mini-ITX motherboard. Finally, at the back, we have a 120 mm slot already occupied by a fan. Of course, for watercooling, the compatibility with radiators is limited: 240 mm max at the top or 120 mm at the back.

For the moment, no price is known, too bad. Nevertheless, we think it could be a good alternative to the Jonsbo again.

This way to the Chieftec datasheet!
