Jonsbo which we talk about quite regularly has just announced new PC cases. The Chinese brand announces, indeed, its D40 and D30 models. These cases have a medium tower and mini tower format respectively!
The D40, the bigger of the two!
With the D40, we find a medium-tower format body with dimensions of 204 (W) x 401 (D) x 386 (H) mm. Concerning the weight, we are at 5 kg only. However, we will retain the use of aluminum for the exterior. Internally, we will have enough space to install a motherboard in ATX or micro-ATX format. Nevertheless, we will retain an atypical internal layout with a power supply unit installed along the front. We will therefore pay attention to its length since it will directly impact the length of the graphics card. While we’re on the subject, let’s quickly talk about the CG, which can measure up to 355 mm, 305 mm with a 17 cm or more power supply. Finally, the airflow will be vertical, with the possibility of installing up to six fans. Two 120/140 mm slots are available at the top, compared to one 120 mm at the back. At the bottom, it will be possible to mount two 140 mm mills or three 120 mm mills!
The D30, the same, but more compact!
With the D30, we find, vulgarly, the same housing. However, the dimensions are more compact: 204 (W) x 401 (D) x 325 (H) mm and the weight reduced to 4.36 kg. Internally, it will only be possible to install a motherboard in micro-ATX, mini-DTX or mini-ITX format. However, there is no change in the size of the power supply, which is between 17 cm and 22 cm. The same goes for the graphics card with 305 mm to 355 mm. And the same goes for a CPU cooling unit with 168 mm of height available. And if you feel like going to the water cooling you can choose a 240/280 mm radiator at the top or 360 mm at the bottom. The storage part includes three 2.5″ and one 3.5″ slot… Or four in 2.5″, does not change either.
The prices
The bill remains rather affordable considering the materials, the design proposed by Jonsbo or the original internal layout. On this subject, it will be necessary to count 109,90 € for the D30 against 114,90 € for the D40.
