ASUS: first prices in euro for Z690 motherboards

0

A French reseller has just listed the Z690 motherboard range from ASUS, finally giving us first prices in euro.

Minimum 250€ for a Z690 from ASUS?

A week ago, a Canadian reseller had started to list the Z690 motherboards from ASUS, with prices remaining in the continuity of the previous generations.

Today the French retailer PC21 (via @momomo_us) has also listed its motherboards, with prices going up to almost 2000€. So beware, if PC21 has been around for several years, it is not known as the most aggressive of the market. We can even see that it uses data delivered by general wholesalers to feed its commercial site.

Z690: it’s expensive but not more so than the others

So here we are with no less than 14 motherboards, ranging from the simple PRIME Z690-P in DDR4 for about 246€, to almost 2000€ for the Maximus Extreme Glacial, a price increase that would remain moderate for all models except for the latter.

This increase in price is mainly due to the support of the new PCIE 5.0 standard which should be present on all Z690s, but also in some cases to DDR5 for the more premium cards. We’ll have to wait a few more days to see the data refined and no doubt compare with other brands.
