On the graphics card front, ASUS is continuing to increase the price of its graphics cards. The brand’s top model, the RTX 5090 Astral OC, will now cost $280 more. As for the RX 9000, forget MSRP, it no longer exists for the brand. Worse still, the manufacturer’s entry-level RX 9070 now sells for more than the MSRP of the RX 9070 XT.

ASUS continues to raise its prices!

From now on, you can simply forget about cards sold at the right price at ASUS, as these no longer exist (temporarily, we hope). As far as the RTX 5090 is concerned, we can see that the card’s selling price continues to rise drastically. The Astral model is now taking $280 in the teeth, rising to $3359.99, a serious increase which means a price 1.68 times higher than NVIDIA’s official price. And we’re not even talking about the AIO version…

As for AMD’s offer, the situation is hardly any better, with prices also rising little by little. The RX 9070 XT Prime is currently priced at $719 on the brand’s shop. For TUF Gaming, the price increase is more ‘reasonable’, with the card going for just $10 more than before. As for the non-XT Prime RX 9070, the situation is equally tense, with the card going for $659, a price $60 higher than AMD’s MSRP, which was $549 for the non-XT compared to $599 for the XT.

In short, the question remains about the reason behind these continual price rises by AMD and NVIDIA’s partners. If we are to believe what was said here, the GPU and memory account for 80% of the cost of a graphics card. For so-called MSRP cards, it’s understandable that the partners want to hold onto their margins, but for cards that are sold for 68% more than the advertised price, it’s hard to understand why they keep raising the price.
