An RTX 4090 Ruan Mei spotted at MSI!

A new version of MSI’s RTX 4090 Suprim has appeared on the net. However, the version in question certainly dates from before the sanctions applied by the Americans, and for good reason: it’s a non-D RTX 4090. Anyway, here are the photos of the RTX 4090 Ruan Mei, a green and gold version of MSI’s card!

With this new card, the MSI brand builds on the design of its Suprim version. However, a number of changes have been made, notably to the colors. This version is based on a green and gold fairing. The backplate also features an illustration of the Ruan Mei character.

Clearly, we’re not going to tackle the game’s lore, since we don’t know what it is. However, it would seem that this card has been designed to operate at the card’s original frequencies. Ditto for its features: same heatsinks, same dimensions, etc.

Now, bear in mind that this is an old design that’s only now surfacing. Indeed, the 4090 has been banned from export to China since November 2023. If this were a brand-new design, it would feature an RTX 4090D GPU!
