At the moment, Intel is in trouble with its 13th and 14th generation processors suffering from instabilities. A law firm, Abington Cole + Ellery, which specialises in class actions, is investigating the possibility of taking the blues to court.
Abington Cole + Ellery: towards a class action against Intel?
You know how some people are : as soon as you can make money from a lawsuit, they immediately seize the opportunity. And that’s clearly what’s in the offing for the blues, as the law firm Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the feasibility of a class action against the semiconductor company.
The firm is currently gathering evidence by asking customers affected by its instabilities to send them information via a form available on their website.
However, the action may not be easy to take on, as the processors affected by these instabilities are covered by warranty. In addition, Intel is actively working on a way to prevent new processors from being affected. This solution takes the form of a patch that should be deployed by mid-August. Finally, the blues have acknowledged the problem, so it’s hard to say it’s a hidden defect…
In any case, if the firm takes legal action, it will only represent American clients.
