Cooler Master announces new power supplies in the Elite Gold series, now available in white. In fact, the main difference between these power supplies is their white casing. The power ratings here are quite reasonable, since none of them exceeds 1000W!
Elite Gold: power supplies that go white!
The aim of this series is to offer power supplies with reasonable power ratings of 650W, 750W and 850W. The whole adopts a rather compact casing with a limited depth of 14 cm, ideal for squeezing into cases with limited space… Like the latest Gamdias, for example.
As such, these are good little mid-range power supplies, with PCIe 5.1 and ATX 3.1 compliance. Each model benefits from fully modular cable management and 80 Gold certification. When it comes to electrical protection, there’s no need to panic, as UVP, OVP, OPP, OTP and SCP are all present.
Cooling is provided here by a 120 mm fan that doesn’t seem to adopt semi-passive operation. A pity, but at low speeds, the fan should remain inaudible.
As for connectivity, the 850W version features a 24-pin ATX connector coupled to two EPS 4+4-pin CPUs. Of course, the 12V-2×6 is present in a single connector, while there are six PCIe 6+2-pin connectors. The peripherals feature eight SATA and four Molex connectors.
All that remains to be done is to find out the retail price. However, it’s not impossible that this white series will be slightly more expensive than the black range. In any case, the warranty is 5 years.
