In the past, Zalman distinguished itself in the aircooling market with its circular CNPS fans. At Computex, the brand unveiled its ZET 5, a model with this distinctive shape. Today, we learn of this model’s market launch.

ZET 5: the return of Zalman’s circular fans!

Zalman Zet 5Clearly, in terms of style, this model has a little something all its own, and will easily stand out from competing products on the market! The design is meticulous, with a fairing surrounding the aluminum structure, and fine RGB edging around the fans and fairing. In terms of dimensions, this is a rather compact product, measuring 117 (W) x 130 (D) x 157 (H) mm. On the scales, it weighs less than 1 kg at just 970g, and features two push/pull 120 mm fans. These will operate at up to 2000 rpm, generating an airflow of 44.48 CFM and a static pressure of 1.4 mmH2O.

On the radiator side, we’re treated to a total of five 6 mm copper heat pipes. These meet at a nickel-plated copper base. They will pass through a stack of horizontal aluminum fins, unlike the brand’s older products, whose fins were mounted in a circular pattern. In short, beyond this original shape, we’ll also note a magnetic mounting system for the fans. Connections are provided by a pogo connector for lighting and speed control. For the moment, the heatsink is not yet commercially available. We’re curious to know how much it will cost, given that it will be available in black or white.
