G.Skill seems to be very prolific these days, and the company has announced a new memory kit. On the program is a RAM kit offering a crazy capacity at a high frequency. It’s the Trident Z5 Royal Neo in 2×64 GB, all running at 8000 MT/s. A kit that could well be of interest to professionals in need of RAM!
Trident Z5 Royal Neo: a 128 GB kit with 8000 MT/s!
With this series, the brand is offering us top-of-the-range memory modules, and there’s no need to be afraid of the bling. In fact, with this RAM, the company is offering us a shiny gold kit. On top, the aRGB light bar has a diamond finish. In short, there’s no middle ground with this design: either you love it or you hate it.
But what interests us most are the features of these modules. Here, the company is offering us RAM that runs at 8000 MT/s, all with timings of 44-58-58-127 CR1. In terms of capacity, we’re dealing with a massive 2×64 GB, a kit that will meet the demands of professionals requiring a large memory capacity. Surely it’s not your average Joe who’ll need such a kit to play Warzone 2.0!
Last but not least, G.Skill has published some validity test screens on RunMemTestPro where you can see the kit running on two platforms. The first is based on a Ryzen 9 9950X coupled with a Crosshair X870E Apex. The second is based on an Intel Ultra 7 265K mounted on an Apex, but in Z890.
As far as prices are concerned, once again, this is not a kit that will cost €100, clearly not. To get an idea, various retailers sell Vengeance in 128 GB (4×32 GB) at 5600 MT/s in CL40 for over €450.
