Slim Silence, the ideal Gelid cooler for your ITX PC!

A new heatsink from Gelid: the Slim Silence Black. This is a low-profile heatsink in slim format. Its very limited height makes it perfectly suited to mini-ITX configurations. It certainly lives up to its name.

Slim Silence Black: perfectly suited to ITX configurations!

Gelid Slim SilenceWith this new heatsink, the brand offers us a model of compactness. In fact, its dimensions are limited to 94 (W) x 104 (D) x 41.5 (H) mm. Weight is also limited, with only 198 g on the scale.

The radiator itself is relatively basic, featuring an aluminum fin block with a total of four 6 mm copper heat pipes running through it. These are mounted in direct contact with the processor. On the other hand, the photos seem to show a radiator with a high density of aluminum fins.

Ventilation is provided by a slim 90 mm fan. It is only 15 mm thick. As for the rest of the technical data, the fan speed is 2800 rpm and the static pressure is 2.49 mmH2O.

Naturally, it can be mounted on mainstream platforms. These include the LGA-1700/1200/115x and the AM5/AM4/AM3. Just make sure you don’t put a processor with a lot of cores underneath it, otherwise you’ll be prepared for throttle.

Still, from a pricing point of view, it’s an attractive solution at just $25. Noctua’s NH-L9a chromax.black (above) is one of the most expensive products in this sector!
