The Chinese brand Colorful has just unveiled, via the Bilibili channel, its components from the DIY-APE concept. As a reminder, this concept aims to minimize the visibility of cables within your PC. The components feature connectors migrating to the back of the motherboard, for example!
DIY-APE: a set of components for Colorful!
The Colorful brand has announced a set of components based on this concept. Here we have a graphics card, an RTX 4070 Ultra Z OC. This predominantly white model moves its power connector to the rear of the PCB. This is then hidden by the card’s backplate. Once in place, there are no visible cables. However, this is a version equipped with an eight-pin PCIe connector.
With this, we also have a motherboard based on the CVN B650M Frozen WiFi V20. As you can see, the main connectors are positioned behind the PCB. Once plugged in, the cables are once again invisible.
Finally, a power supply is also included, developed in collaboration with Segotep. Like a Corsair RMx Shift block, the connectors are located on the side of the block. You’ll have to choose your block carefully, but the company does offer suitable chassis, such as the Gank 360S-Ape.
In short, Colorful joins Gigabyte and its Project Stealth and MSI with Project Zero.
