A new SSD series from ADATA, with Legend 970 SSDs under its own name (and not under the XPG brand). These models feature an active heatsink. What’s more, performance is guaranteed, with speeds of up to 10 GB/s announced!

Legend 970, Adata SSDs with 10 GB/s speeds!

Adata Legend 970As you can see, these SSDs feature an active heatsink. A small fan is fitted to the heatsink to aid cooling. And yes, these PCIe 5.0 models do tend to heat up, so they need to be cooled. Now comes the question of noise, as we remember from the CFD Gaming model.

Internally, we find a model equipped with a memory controller from Phison, the PS5026-E26. On the memory side, we’re assuming 3D TLC. In any case, coupled with this new PCIe 5.0 interface, announced data rates are 10 GB/s in sequential read/write mode. Random performance is rated at 1,400,000 IOPS in both read and write modes. Endurance is rated at up to 1,400 TBW for the largest model. Note that only two capacities are available: 1TB and 2TB.

The big question now is the price, which is still unknown!
