After talking about the RTX 4060/Ti, we have just shared some rumours related to the upcoming RTX 4050. NVIDIA’s next card could then see the light of day in June… At least, if the greens don’t keep pushing the card back like they did with the RTX 3050.

RTX 4070 in April, RTX 4060 Ti in late May and RTX 4050 in June?

According to MEGAsizeGPUNVIDIA’s launch schedule seems to be as follows:

  • 4070 non-Ti: April 13
  • 4060 Ti: late May
  • 4060: not yet decided
  • 4050: June

RTX 4050

Clearly, there is no consensus on the launch of the RTX 4060/Ti between those who say the two versions will be launched at the same time and those who say the opposite.

However, what we are most interested in is the launch of the smallest card in the Ada Lovelace series. So the little 4050 could well arrive in June, which would give us at least one card launch per month… If the schedule holds.

For the moment, the characteristics of the card have not been confirmed, but it is not unreasonable to think that it will be based on a neutered AD107. As a reminder, the full AD107 would be used by the non-Ti RTX 4060.

In reality, this model could offer similar features to its already available laptop counterpart. If so, it would offer 2560 cuda, 80 TMU and 32 ROPs. In addition, the memory part would rely on 6GB of GDDR6 with a 96-bit memory bus. Compared to the small RTX 3050, this represents a disappointment insofar as we lose 2 GB of VRAM… Especially as current games are increasingly greedy, just look at Hogwart Legacy and the disappointing port of The Last of Us Part 1 on PC.
