TeamGroup also announces its PCIe 5.0 SSDs . On the agenda, the company unveils its T-Force Cardea Z540, a model with a unique capacity of 2TB. Unlike others, we won’t have an ultra elaborate heat pipe or fan based heatsink.
T-Force Cardea Z540: a TeamGroup in PCIe 5.0!
On the menu, we find an SSD in M.2 format equipped with a PCIe 5.0 interface. However, the brand is not very talkative about the type of memory and the controller used. However, given the endurance of 1400 TBW, we can assume that it is a 3D NAND TLC type memory.
On the performance side, it bodes well since sequential writing is announced at 10 GB/s while reading is at 12 GB/s. Concerning the random performance, we have 1.4 million IOPS in reading against 1.5 million IOPS in writing.
As we said, for the heatsink, the brand opts for a thin sheet of graphene. The latter will also be covered by the on-board heatsink of the motherboard. All that remains is to see what the temperatures will be when the SSD is used at full capacity. At least, it will be silent unlike the model of CFD Gaming which uses a small but noisy fan.
For the price, it will cost $499.99, it stings. The global availability is announced for the second quarter of 2023.
Here is the TeamGroup datasheet!
