A new graphics card from Sapphire: the RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition. The card features an old-fashioned skin with the game’s logo. Clearly, this takes us back a few years, when manufacturers applied original skins to distinguish themselves from the others… The good old days!
RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition: an old-fashioned skin!
As you can see, the Sapphire board in question is based on the RX 7700 XT Pure, a custom board featuring a white three-fan fairing. The backplate in question then benefits from a game-themed skins with a very grimy charcoal look that contrasts sharply with the snow-white appearance of the fairing. At the same time, this is the theme of the game, which is a city builder with a survival aspect, as you manage a city in a world of ice and snow.
In addition to the map, this edition includes custom keycaps for your keyboard and a set of three pins featuring the game.
Apparently, this edition of the Sapphire map is scheduled for July 2024, certainly to accompany the game’s launch, which is scheduled for July 25, 2024. The card should be available through the usual distribution channels, though we’re curious to see the retail price.
