From Ubisoft, we announce the minimum and recommended configurations for running the next Assassin’s Creed Shadows opus. Clearly, for some time now, AC games have not been as greedy as they used to be. We all remember the disastrous performance of Unity at its launch.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: rather “cushy” configurations!

Assassin's Creed Shadows

Without further ado, here are the configurations announced by Ubisoft for running the game:

  • Minimum :
    • CPU: Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
    • RAM: 8 GB
    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD RADEON RX 570 4 GB
  • Recommended :
    • CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
    • RAM: 16 GB
    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB or AMD RADEON RX 5700 XT 8 GB

As you can see, the minimum configuration is clearly not demanding: a simple four- or six-core CPU. For graphics, clearly, an old-fashioned GPU is enough to play with. As a reminder, the GTX 1060 and RX 570 were released in 2016 and 2017 respectively!

The recommended part will inevitably be more demanding, with six-core CPUs mandatory. The memory part doubles, with 16 GB required, while more recent graphics cards from 2018 and 2019 are starting to appear.

However, despite the rather light configurations, you’ll need quite a bit of free space on your hard disk. Here, a total of 100 GB is required… The game weighs a lot. As for the system, Windows 10 is required in both cases.
