Hyte announces a new case that follows their very first model, the Y60. This new reference is none other than the Y40, a case with the same spirit with its multidimensional design. In short, let’s see what it offers.

Y40: new reference at Hyte!

Hyte Y40With this new model, the brand announces a case with a medium tower format. Moreover, it measures 240 (W) x 439 (D) x 472 (H) mm. As you can see, it offers a clear view inside with its two glass panels. Moreover, the assembly is made so that there is no pillar visible from the front.

Internally, it’s the classic motherboard tray layout for an ATX model. However, the expansion slot configuration is quite strange and for good reason. We have a total of seven horizontal half height slots and four vertical full height slots. To connect a graphics card, it will be necessary to use a riser which is provided as standard. And as for the length, the GPU benefits from 422 mm.

On the cooling side, up to seven fans can be installed and two are already present. They are found at the back and at the bottom in addition to the three 120 mm slots at the top and the two 120/140 mm slots on the side. For watercooling, we can install a 360 mm radiator at the top and a 280 mm one on the side. As foraircooling, the Y40 will be able to accommodate a 183 mm high air cooler.
