We take a look at the upcoming NVIDIA SUPER boards

As you are no doubt aware, NVIDIA is set to launch a new series of graphics cards in January 2024. And as was the case with previous generations, we should be seeing cards bearing the “SUPER” label. Although we’re still just guessing here, in view of the various leaks from NVIDIA’s partners, we’re going to take a look at these upcoming NVIDIA SUPER cards.

Based on the table provided by our Videocardz colleagues, there are three models on offer: the RTX 4080 SUPER, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and the RTX 4070 SUPER. NVIDIA will be concentrating on 1440p and 2106p definition models.

Let’s start with the NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER, which should retain its 12 GB of memory, but see its number of CUDA cores increase from 5888 to 7168. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER adds 4 GB, bringing the total to 16 GB, and the number of CUDA cores to 8448. Finally, for the NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER, there’s no change in memory quantity, but the number of CUDA cores rises from 9728 to 10240. At present, these seem to be the only references that will have a “SUPER” model. We don’t yet know whether these boards will be available as Founders Edition reference models.
