The Patriot brand announces the arrival of its new generation of Venom RAM with the Viper Venom DDR5. On the program, memory kits that can be quite nasty in terms of speed. We find sets displaying frequencies of 6200 MT/s!
Viper Venom DDR5: kits up to 6200 MT/s!
With its new memory, the brand offers two types of RAM kits: those with RGB lighting and those without. It’s up to you to see what suits you best. Nevertheless, the memory has a heatsink measuring 4.3 cm in height. It remains to be seen if this will conflict with a possible aircooling fan.
Otherwise, you should know that Patriot puts forward dual channel sets of 16 GB and 32 GB. The frequencies are between 5200 MT/s and 6200 MT/s for the fastest sets. At the fastest, the kits show timings of 40-40-40-77, but the brand says it has tested them at 40-40-40-76. In all cases, a voltage of 1.35V will be required.
As far as the price is concerned, as you can already imagine, it is not cheap… Not to say completely slammed. The 6200 MT/s kits can already be found on Amazon.com at prices of $379.99 for the RGB and $349.99 for the non-bright.
