We’ve already talked about this amazing transportable esport desk called Base, designed and marketed by Finnish company Unevn. But as the idea remains brilliant and the designers have developed the product further, we’ll be talking about it again at the end of the year. The project is the brainchild of brothers Aleksi and Santeri Rinkinen and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka, one of the world’s most famous Dota players. This product is full of good ideas and deserves a closer look at its design and some of its specific details. First of all, at the risk of repeating ourselves, let’s bear in mind that this product was built for esports enthusiasts. And that explains a lot.
The product is designed to make it easier to organize training camps or to move around in Lans, while providing maximum comfort and safety for its owner. With BASE, you’re in a competitive environment with all your hardware (PC, screen and peripherals), so there are no unpleasant surprises. The main aim of Unevn Base is to provide a portable gaming configuration that’s easy to transport and can be assembled in just a few minutes.
The fact that the Base is a product that aims to be “easily” transported and used in Lans or bootcamp thus conditions certain restrictions.

First of all, you can only use a 27″ maximum. Desktop size is also limited to 114cm, so forget double screens and other esoteric sizes.
Finally, there’s the PC itself, integrated into the desktop. And here we’re pleasantly surprised. Since its launch, the company has changed its strategy somewhat. At first, the idea was to deliver a 100% finished setup with all components inside. Today, you can buy the Base on its own and make your own configuration within certain constraints.
