Chieftec launches its UC-03B-OP case, a rather particular model since it is in slim ATX format. Clearly, a reference offering a certain gain of space, however, it will be necessary to pay attention to the size of its components!
UC-03B-OP: a slim ATX case for Chieftec !
We find a case with compact dimensions that displays 166 (W) x 443 (D) x 373 (H) mm. The weight is also reduced with only 3.15 kg on the scale. It must be said that the dimensions as well as the materials, 0.5 mm steel contributes to its light weight. Inside, we have room to accommodate a motherboard in ATX format to the maximum. On the other hand, you should not be too greedy on the rest of the components. The case leaves only 120 mm for the CPU cooler and 250 mm for the graphics card. The power supply, if the ATX format is allowed, you should not be too greedy. The storage part offers enough slots for the installation of two 2.5″/3.5″ units or one 3.5″ and three in 2.5″. Moreover, we have a 5.25″ bay for the installation of optical drives, which is rare these days. Finally, for ventilation, we have a total of three 120 mm slots for fans. We will find one at the top, a second at the bottom and the last one on the side of the case. Finally, two small 60 mm slots are available at the back. The selling price is not yet known, we only know that the availability is fixed for September.
