Back again with Thermaltake, which, after announcing its AIO TH V3 Series, is back with its new TS EX RGB fans. These fans feature a built-in thermal sensor that dynamically adjusts their speed based on the detected temperature!

These new fans come in two sizes: 120 mm or 140 mm, with a standard thickness of 25 mm. There are no nasty surprises when installing them in a case or on a radiator, for example—they fit anywhere.

For connection, there is a system that allows the fans to be connected in series via their frame. The whole thing benefits from a MagForce 2.0 magnetic connector that allows quick and easy alignment of the male and female plugs, while at the end of the cluster, a flat connector connects the whole thing to the motherboard for speed and lighting management.

As for the RGB, these fans are clearly quite discreet, as the blades are not translucent. Only a light ring is present in the frame for lighting. We are a long way from the brand’s Riing Quad, for example.

In terms of specifications, these fans have a maximum operating speed of 2000 rpm in 120 mm. They generate an airflow of 56.01 CFM and a static pressure of 2.45 mmH2O. At 140 mm, they will run at the same maximum speed, but will generate a higher airflow and static pressure: 93.35 mmH2O and 3.32 mmH2O.

Finally, the integrated thermal sensor allows for multi-zone temperature readings of your PC. This allows you to fine-tune their speed based on the reported values.

In terms of retail price, expect to pay around €110 for the 120 mm version, sold in packs of three, compared to €115 for the three TS140 Ex RGB fans!
