Presumably, the next AMD graphics cards to see the light of day will be the RX 7700 and RX 7600. The presentations could take place at the end of May, during the launch of Computex, which will take place in Taipei, Taiwan. Moreover, rumors indicate that brands exclusive to AMD would present their custom designs!

The RX 7700 and RX 7600 coming soon?

Obviously, the launch of new AMD cards would be through entry/mid-range models. Moreover, for the occasion, it is the cards of exclusive partners that would open the ball. One thinks of models from ASRock, XFX, PowerColor, etc. The more generalist brands such as MSI, ASUS or Gigabyte will be on the sidelines for the time being. Especially since we saw the treatment that MSI had reserved for the RX 7900 of the reds: custom models recycling old heatsinks released weeks after the launch.

As for the chips in question, we would have the right to an RX 7600 running a small GPU, a Navi 33. In fact, we can expect a configuration similar to the Navi 23. The result is a chip containing a total of 32 compute units and 2048 stream processors. The memory part would be based on a 128-bit bus while the Infinity Cache of 32 MB would be found. Finally, the 6 nm etching makes the die measure 204 mm².

As for the 7700, for the moment, no idea.

Finally, what happens to the RX 7800 series? For the moment nothing, obviously AMD prefers to give itself time to gauge the state of the market in this sector. In fact, there is the RTX 4070. Nevertheless, the price remains strategic since selling a card drastically cheaper allows to be very aggressive, but reduces margins. Moreover, we must also think about the partners whose margins are even smaller. So if the reds screw up, either they have a card that is too expensive and won’t sell, or not expensive enough and no partner will offer a version that might slow down sales.

In the meantime, they are stalling by attacking the lower ranges, which gives them time to see how to manage the rest of the prices.
