NVIDIA is said to be on the verge of lowering the selling price of its upcoming RTX 4070 Ti. Apparently, the brand’s partners have received a notification that NIVIDA is lowering the MSRP of its card. The latter would thus go from $899 to $799.

RTX 4070 Ti: towards a price drop before launch?

RTX 4070Ti

As you know, the RTX 4070 Ti is the “easy” card from NVIDIA. Indeed, the brand was initially planning to launch a 12GB RTX 4080 and then, in front of the grumbling, changed its mind… But it did not cancel its card, just changed the name. Behind it, the features remain the same, as does the price, until not so long ago.

Indeed, the brand’s partners have received a recent notification that the selling price of the card is going down. The latter is down 11% to $799 instead of $899 as it seemed to be the case initially. Apparently, this seems to be confirmed by several sources.

Nevertheless, don’t expect to find cards at this price at launch. According to VideoCardz there is no Founders Edition planned, so no more cards at the reference price… Well, yes, via custom models, rather basic, without factory OCs that might go away very very quickly, leaving only the most expensive models on the shelves.

Otherwise, as a reminder, the 4070 Ti has the same configuration as the 4080 12GB. This translates into 7680 Cuda Core, 240 TMU and 80 ROPs. The memory configuration shows 12GB of GDDR6X, all with a 192-bit bus. Coupled with the 21 Gbps of VRAM, the bandwidth shows 504.2 GB/s.
