New rumors suggest that Nvidia may launch its first RTX 40 cards in July/August this year. Until now, most reports were converging on September for a first release date. But according to the very reliable kopite7kimi, the greens are already in a position to release some of the new Nvidia RTX 40s at the beginning of the third quarter, i.e. in July or August.

nouvelles nvidia RTX Assuming this information is potentially reliable, this could mean that Nvidia plans to make Gamescom 2022 its launch event for its new generation. In 2018, the RTX 2080 and much of the Turing-based lineup were announced in late August at Gamescom.

There are several things to consider if these cards actually arrive this summer. First of all, Nvidia’s Computex in the next few days could be boring unless the greens start a teaser that will keep us in suspense until this summer…Finally, in terms of explanations for an earlier than expected release, it could be caused by AMD’s change of schedule. Indeed the reds would have managed to start the production of their new RDNA3 chips much earlier. This change in schedule could be one of the reasons why NVIDIA has moved up its lineup. The RTX 4090, 4080 and 4070 could be the first cards launched, as NVIDIA usually pushes its top end first. The actual launch of the rest of the lineup could be staggered until the end of the year.
