Among the next-generation graphics cards presented by Intel, we have the Arc B580, but that’s not all. While the B580 is the first model to be launched, we are now waiting for the Arc B570, a less expensive model than the first, but also less high-end. This card is already causing a stir, with MindFactory offering it for €260!
The Arc B570 on display at MindFactory!
Clearly, MindFactory is making a blunder by displaying the card a month before its launch (since withdrawn). Remember that this model is due to be launched on 16 January and has a lower configuration than the brand’s B580. In fact, we find a GPU with 17% fewer shaders, or two Xe cores. Memory-wise, it’s the same story, with 2 GB less VRAM, but the card still offers 10 GB of memory, 2 GB more than NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 and AMD’s RX 7600.
The model presented here is the Challenger from ASRock. For the record, this is the manufacturer’s entry-level version, but on a card of this size, honestly, there’s no need to put in a bigger heatsink. Remember that the B570 is a 150W TDP. Clearly, coupled with a compact PCB, there are ways of making cards that take up little or no space. In fact, some manufacturers have already announced low-profile versions.
Finally, in terms of price, MindFactory advertised its board at around €260, whereas the board was officially advertised at $219. In contrast, the merchant is showing the B580 at a price of €329, again for the Challenger model. In Germany, prices are light years ahead of France, and more particularly LDLC, where the B580 is available for €370… And then we’re surprised that people are buying from Amazon…
