Still no NH-D15 in 2022, it will have to wait until 2023!

Noctua has just published a new roadmap and the news is not necessarily good concerning the future NH-D15… At least, its replacement. Moreover, many other products have been postponed.

NH-D15 : the next generation, not before 2023..

Noctua NH-D15 report

The more time goes by, the more Noctua accumulates delays concerning its future high-end cooling unit. We are of course talking about the successor of the D15, a 140mm dual tower famous for its performance. If we trust the new Austrian roadmap, the successor would not arrive before early 2023. As a reminder, the heatsink was originally scheduled for late 2021 and then late 2022.

Otherwise, compared to the previous roadmap, we notice that everything that was planned is shifted by one quarter. So this applies to voltage converters, fan hub, next generation 140mm fans, 40mm 24V mill, desktop fans and white fans.

The only constant is the next-generation heatsinks for Intel’s upcoming Xeon processors. They are still scheduled for the third quarter of 2022… Nevertheless, we can expect adaptations of already existing models as it was the case of TR4 fans.

Nevertheless, we will note a small novelty in the presence of a slim fan of 60 mm in the fourth quarter. Otherwise, soon, the brand should launch fan grills. Unfortunately nothing very exciting. However, let’s keep in mind the very recent NH-D12L and the NF-A12x25r with its round frame.

And with a second NF-A12x25r.

Finally, we can ask the question of why so much delay? On this subject, we can imagine that the brand has difficulties to develop a heatsink really more efficient than the current model. Moreover, we also know that Noctua likes to offer products that are really up to date. All these reasons may be linked to its successive postponements, but they are only suppositions.
