Always in connection with the PC cases where we go from one extreme to the other. Indeed, with the Dan Case C4-SFX we were in the ultra compact sector, now we’re moving on to something really big. The Alta F2 signed by Silverstone, a model equipped with three 180 mm fans, is now available (it will be needed)!
Alta F2: a case designed for very large configurations!
With this model Silverstone offers us a very imposing case. It measures 261 (W) x 658 (D) x 576 (H) mm. It is not a featherweight either since it weighs 21.14 kg, be careful with your back, especially once mounted!
With such dimensions, the case can accommodate any motherboard format. We are talking about SSI-EEB, SSI-CEB, E-ATX, ATX and smaller models. The graphics card can be substantial depending on the direction of installation: from 354 mm to 604 mm. Moreover, it will be suspended by its bracket, due to the 90° orientation of the motherboard tray. Finally, on the side of the CPU fan, we have 205 mm against 220 mm for the power supply.
The storage part is also consequent since we will be able to mount up to seven 2.5″ SSDs or eight 3.5″ hard disks.
The cooling could be important, already, we have three fans of 180 mm pre-installed in the bottom. They can be completed by adding six 120 mm mills distributed in the front and in the top. As for the watercooling radiators, we have a support of models in 420 mm, 540 mm and 560 mm at the bottom!
Now we will have to be patient before knowing the price.
