A breath of fresh air is blowing through the PC case market this year. The Silverstone Seta A2 is one of them. Neo-retro design, impressive airflow, multiple radiator support, modularity: unique!
Silverstone Seta A2: a successful blend of genres
The first thing that catches the eye is the refreshing design. The Seta A2 skilfully combines Silverstone’s well-known form factor (large tower case with HDD slots) with a striking front panel inspired by the Seta A1. The choice of colors is equally bold, and there’s even a touch of RGB on the front panel. In terms of specifications, it’s hard to get more complete in this format. The case measures 224.7 x 521.4 x 538.5 mm. In its 68.7L total volume, made of steel and tempered glass, it can accommodate :
- motherboards up to E-ATX and SSI-CEB format (back-connect compatible)
- Graphics boards up to 438 mm
- Power supplies up to 190 mm
- 11 fans 140mm (4 included) or 13 fans 120 mm
- 3 heat sinks 480 mm
- 11 3.5″ or 13 2.5″ disks
I/O ports are located on the top of the case: 1 USB Type-C, 2 USB 3.0, 1 audio and 1 microphone. A fan and ARGB HUB is available in the rear chamber.
Silverstone Seta A2: what’s it for? :
The answer is simple: everyone. The tower can accommodate any current hardware configuration without restriction or concession. A high-performance workstation or even a server with gargantuan storage can be easily visualized. But that’s not all! The modding enthusiast or the aesthetically sensitive enthusiast is also catered for. The potential is enormous, and the options for developing custom watercooling in this case are numerous. Watercooling that will also serve the needs of professional components. Last but not least, let’s not forget the user in search of an attractive, upgradeable case, with cable management facilitated by the rear connectors. It will only not appeal to small form factor ITX enthusiasts and budget-conscious users, as it retails for €180.
