A member of Chiphell member could have already got his hands on the specifications of the next Sapphire custom cards. The least we can say is that the brand’s upcoming RX 6950 XT Toxic is going to go high. Nevertheless, the TGP is not to be outdone, as you might expect!

RX 6950 XT Toxic: high power consumption, but also, high frequency!

RX 6900 XT Toxic Aircooled

In layman’s terms, the future RX 6950 XT from AMD is nothing more than an RX 6900 XT with boosted frequencies. However, some partners of the brand, via their custom cards push the vice even more with custom models. And on this subject, we are already talking about the future Toxic version of Sapphire. But before talking about its frequency and its TGP, let’s recall some values.

So, as a reminder, a reference RX 6900 XT is a TGP of 255W for a boost of 2250 MHz. The current 6900 XT Toxic Extreme from Sapphire, with AIO-based cooling in 360 mm, is 332W of TGP with a boost frequency of 2525 MHz.

Here, this new version displays a 332W TGP with a frequency of 2532 MHz. In OC mode, the TGP goes up to 346W for a boost displayed at 2565 MHz. Note, however, that this model is only equipped with an aircooling type heatsink.

Imagine the frequency that could be reached with a water-cooled version as standard. On our side, we are curious to see how far Sapphire will be able to go or even the confirmed clockers!
